About Me
Hi, I’m Jamie! I’m an expert proofreader, specialising in science fiction. Based in the UK, near the south coast, I work with authors as well as traditional book publishers, helping them to put the finishing touches to their novels so that they have the confidence to release their work out into the world.
I know the level of dedication and hard work involved in bringing any creative endeavour to life, so my style of working is empathetic and completely non-judgemental. My personal preferences have no bearing on how I approach your manuscript. What matters to me is your style and your creative choices.
As an avid reader (especially of science fiction) I decided to make a career change over 4 years ago in order to work more closely with creative, like-minded writers. I love doing this work and feel it’s a privilege to be able to help authors complete their artistic vision.

Bachelor Hons Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.

Working together should feel natural and supportive. I’ll bring my knowledge and experience to our working relationship but the proofreading process will be collaborative. I don’t believe there’s only one way to write, with set rules and boundaries that never change. Although we’ll work as a team to make sure your voice stays consistent, we’ll always be playing by your rules.
